History/Organization Chart

In 1936, Enomoto started a business to distribute alcoholic beverages to retailers such as liquor stores. Then, in 1973, Enomoto expanded its business to be a “retailer for businesses,” a business that distributes alcoholic drinks to restaurants as well as food or beverage businesses, including bars . Subsequently, Enomoto developed its business centering on these two areas and has grown to be an alcoholic beverage retailer having approximately 7,500 clients, including individual businesses in the Tokyo metropolitan area and national chain businesses.

History of Enomoto

1936 Tadakichi Enomoto establishes an alcoholic beverages distributing store called Enomoto Tadakichi Shoten in Shimomaruko, Kamata-ku, Tokyo (at that time).
1939 February Relocates the office and warehouse to Hasunuma in Kamata-ku.
1954 February Increases capital to 2 million yen to incorporate the business.
1973 October Starts selling alcoholic beverages to major mass food and beverage retailers following a partial revision of the Liquor Tax Law.
1979 NEC large computers introduced to promote efficiency of business transactions.
1990 PR magazine “E-DASH” launched.
1997 April Changes corporate name from Enomoto Shoten Co., Ltd. to Enomoto Co., Ltd.
1998 April Haneda Delivery Center established.
1998 November Completion of the new headquarters building.
2001 December Participates in the establishment of Nihon Sake Net Co., Ltd. in order to create and reinforce a distribution system.
2002 September Establishes the Kanagawa Prefecture Delivery Center, making it the third distribution base in addition to headquarters and to Haneda.
2003 August Participates in the establishment of Nihon Logipo Co., Ltd., which now manages the Odaiba Delivery Center operated by Nihon Sake Net Co., Ltd.
2004 January Establishes Nihon Sake Net Co., Ltd. Odaiba Delivery Center.
2004 April Switches to a new computer system to strengthen quality control and improve business efficiency.
2005 March Transfers the entire distribution functions of headquarters as well as the Kanagawa, and Haneda Delivery Centers to the Odaiba Delivery Center.
2005 October First product exhibition held at Tokyo Art Club.
2006 February Launches the 70th anniversary promotion.
2006 October Second product exhibition held at Tokyo Art Club.
Establishes the company website.
2007 October Third product exhibition held at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo.
2009 October Fourth product exhibition “Shukon Fair” held at the Hotel Pacific Tokyo.
2009 December Annual sales exceed 15 billion yen and still increasing.
2011 October Fifth product exhibition held at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo.
2012 February Announces mid-to-long term five-year project.
2013 Annual sales exceed 20 billion yen and still increasing.
2015 October Product exhibition held in cooperation with Nihon Sake Net at Shibuya Hikarie.
2016 February Commemorates 80th anniversary.
